The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) is the result of a long-standing cooperation between RWTH Aachen University in Germany and Oman Educational Services. GUtech campus is located in Halban, around 20 minutes’ drive from Muscat International Airport.

RWTH Aachen University is one of Europe’s leading institutions for science and research and a member of the prestigious IDEA League, a network of leading universities of Technology in Europe that defines excellence standards for degree programmes and academic training. RWTH Aachen University is a research-centered university with a focus on providing solutions to the industry by diffusing university knowledge through its numerous innovations, patents, and licenses.

GUtech focuses on providing undergraduate and graduate programmes of the highest quality in accordance with the curricula and quality standards modelled on RWTH Aachen University. Currently, GUtech offers a diverse range of programmes through four faculties.

GUtech’s Bachelor degree programmes, taught in English, are all internationally accredited by ACQUIN, a non-profit agency committed to supporting the enhancement of quality standards in teaching and learning in higher education worldwide. This reflects the international standards GUtech degrees are modelled on and supports the university’s vision towards becoming a leading university of technology in Oman and the wider region. Most importantly, ACQUIN accreditation paves the way to GUtech graduates to pursue post graduate studies abroad and demonstrates the high caliber of GUtech graduates in the international job market.
